Terms of Use
These terms apply to your use of the Fivefold app ("Fivefold", "we", "us"). By using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies. If the two conflict, these terms apply, to the extent the law allows.
Fivefold is a wellness and self-reflection app, not a medical service. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and it is not a substitute for advice from a doctor or other qualified healthcare professional. Always talk to a professional before changing your diet, exercise, medication or supplements, especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or managing a health condition. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number right away.
1. Who can use Fivefold
You must be at least 18 years old to use Fivefold.
2. What the app provides
Fivefold offers a constitution questionnaire inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine, daily check-ins, readings, and suggested everyday practices. Constitution types describe tendencies, not medical conditions. Five Element readings based on your birth date are offered for reflection and entertainment and are not scientific claims. Evidence labels summarize published research as we understand it, and research can change.
The app also includes tongue and face self-checks, food and kitchen-tea suggestions, acupressure guides, breathing exercises, qigong movements, guided programs and educational articles. These are traditional wellness practices offered for general wellbeing. Self-checks are your own observations, not a diagnosis. Food and tea suggestions are everyday kitchen amounts, not medicine: some herbs and foods can interact with medication or be unsuitable in pregnancy or with certain conditions, so read the safety notes and ask a doctor or pharmacist if in doubt. Do movement and acupressure gently, skip anything that hurts, and stop if you feel dizzy, short of breath or unwell. Weather and Apple Health information is used only to tailor general suggestions.
The advice in each reading is chosen by fixed rules in the app. The wording is written with the help of artificial intelligence. AI-written text can be imperfect, so use your own judgment, and don't rely on the app for decisions about your health.
3. Subscriptions
- Fivefold Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, offered as a yearly plan (which may include a free trial) and a weekly plan. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase or, if you start a free trial, when the trial ends.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the same price for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your iPhone's Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- If you cancel during a free trial, you won't be charged. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies.
4. Your use of the app
You agree not to misuse Fivefold. For example, you agree not to reverse engineer it except where the law allows, interfere with its services, or use it for anything unlawful. Notes you write are yours. You give us permission to process them only to provide the app, as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Our content
The app's design, text, archetypes, artwork and software belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own non-commercial purposes while these terms are in effect.
6. Changes and availability
We may update, add or remove features, and we may change these terms. If we change the terms in a significant way, we'll tell you in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
7. Disclaimers
Fivefold is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for any particular purpose, or that any reading or suggestion is accurate or right for you.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on content in the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to Fivefold is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using Fivefold at any time by deleting the app and cancelling your subscription. We may suspend access if you seriously breach these terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], except where the consumer protection laws of your country of residence say otherwise.
